ALLISON, Ovetta - Died at Brampton Civic Hospital on Thursday, January 10, 2013. She will be missed by Ian Allison, father of her two children. She was a loving mother to Ianthe Allison and grandmother to Mercedes, Katrinna, Savannah and Shadrach. Another daughter, Yolande Allison, preceded Ovetta. She also precedes siblings, Edelmera Harrison, Getseta Thompson, Seymour (Chappo) O'Meally and Gloria Nelson. In Jamaica, Ovetta worked as Postmistress at both the Hayes and Alley post offices. She migrated to Canada in 1971 and worked at Bell Canada for 26 years until her retirement. A funeral service was held in the Ward Chapel, 52 Main Street South, Brampton on Saturday, January 19th.
